Social Events - KiCon 2019

We will have 3 planned social events as part of KiCon 2019:

Hardware Happy Hour – 3H Chicago

Where
- Ballast Point Brewery
- This West Loop location is a 15-20 minute walk from the KiCon location.
When
- Thursday April 25th, 7 pm to 9 pm
What
- 3H Chicago is a regular meetup group in Chicago where we showcase our latest projects to one another while enjoying conversation and food. This is a special “KiCon Eve” meetup, involving people from the community and KiCon attendees from out of town. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
Who
- This event is open to the public. Please register for the event on Meetup so we know who to expect.

Where
- Pumping Station: One – Chicago’s Oldest and Largest Hackerspace
- We recommend either taking an Uber/Lyft from the KiCon facility (please carpool!) or taking the Blue Line from the Chicago stop (near mHUB) towards O’Hare and getting off at the Addison stop. From there it is a short walk to PS1. Here’s a map of the public transit option.
When
- Friday, April 26th, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
What
- This is an after hours event on the first day of KiCon. We will serve Chicago Deep Dish pizza (among other things), so you can get a taste of the city without missing out on good conversation with other KiCon attendees. We will also have beverages available for everyone.
- You will need to sign a short waiver either online or in person, per PS1 policy.
Who
- All KiCon attendees and PS1 members are invited

Where
- Jefferson Tap (our event will be upstairs in “The Loft”)
- This is a restaurant is a 20 minute walk from mHUB (or a 5 minute cab ride)
When
- Saturday, April 27th, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
What
- This is an after hours event for the second day of KiCon, sponsored by the popular technology blog Hackaday. We will have food and drink included for the times listed and then people can move on to other locations or stick around Jefferson Tap (transitioning to a cash bar). Read more on Hackaday.com.
